Lunch at The Kitchen

We love good food here at The Kitchen. Food that’s local, from the heart and downright delicious. And we love serving it in the gorgeous, light-filled space that is our restaurant with stunning views across the Park, River Esk and out to the historic Orangerie. 

Like our space, which matches traditional stonework and brick with contemporary glass and zinc, our cooking is modern and authentic. Whether you’re in need of a light bite, healthy salad, or filling burger, you’ll find something delicious to eat on our seasonal menu with a fabulous wine list to match. We have child-friendly menus plus vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free options. We’re also available for private events, corporate events and weddings.

Opening Times and Booking

Lunch is served from 12pm to 4.30pm on weekdays and to 5pm on weekends. Book online or call us on 0131 322 2572. Alternatively, simply turn up and we’ll find you a table. There’s always plenty of shopping to be done in Restoration Yard if there’s a short wait.

We do accept walk-ins but would recommend booking online before your visit as we wouldn’t like you to be disappointed if we’re fully booked!

Served Monday – Friday from 12pm. Our Weekend Brunchy Lunches are served Saturday and Sunday.

Full Breakfast  ~ Smoked back bacon, haggis, black pudding, premium pork sausage, free-range egg, roasted tomato, Portobello mushroom, baked beans and Company Bakery signature sourdough toast £15

French Toast ~ Soft, sweet and deliciously buttery brioche soaked in double cream and free-range eggs, pan fried and topped with streaky bacon and brie £13.50; or topped with homemade apple and cinnamon compote, hazelnut and pistachio crumble (v) £12

Cullen Skink ~ Made with haddock smoked in Musselburgh, served with Company Bakery signature sourdough (gf available) £9.50

Pulled Pork ~ Roasted pork belly in BBQ sauce served on toasted Company Bakery signature sourdough with caramelised onions, gherkins, crispy onions and micro herbs (df) (gf available) £14

Seafood Stew ~ Tiger prawns, cod and salmon, coconut milk, tomatoes, chillies, saffron, winter squash, lime and coriander (df/gf) £20.50
