Restoration Yard is located in the centre of the beautiful Dalkeith Country Park. This Christmas, The Park will play host to the magnificent WinterFest. Visitors can skate across the NEW outdoor Ice Rink under twinkling lights, or join Santa for a special group session at ‘A Tale with Santa’ in The Christmas Cabin or Breakfast with Santa in The Kitchen.
Also on the Christmas events menu – Elf Storytelling, the Festive Doddie Dash, Kids’ Christmas Workshops and last but by no means least, our very own festive Wreath Making Workshops.
NEW WinterFest Ice Rink
Glide into the festive spirit on the brand-new artificial outdoor ice rink! Surrounded by twinkling lights and located by the iconic Orangerie at Dalkeith Country Park, it’s perfect for skaters of all ages and abilities.

Skate & Shake on The Rink
Every Friday and Saturday night, between 17:00 to 19:00, the rink will transform into a vibrant scene where you can skate to specially-themed music sessions. Each ‘Skate & Shake’ session offers a unique musical theme. Skate to Christmas classics, Taylor Swift, Disney tunes, 80s hits, or our Disco and Mamma Mia nights.

Join us for the magical launch of WinterFest at Dalkeith Country Park. Restoration Yard’s Courtyard will be buzzing with festive fun, opening at 18:00. Santa himself will light up the night at 18:30, kicking off an evening full of delights.
Enjoy late-night shopping in The Store until 21:00, grab treats from the Coffee Bar or Pink Elephant, cosy up by the fire pits with s’mores and explore our ‘Meet the Maker’ stalls. Our NEW Ice Rink will also be open for the first skates of the season.
