New season Spring 22 collections have arrived in-store and online at Restoration Yard. Hurrah. We’ve pulled together our Spring 22 Trend Report to give you the sartorial spin on what to wear now. That said The Store at Restoration Yard is less about following fashion slavishly and more about expressing your true self through the magical medium of your closet. The clothes in your closet can reflect who you are as well as provide a little escapism in times of uncertainty. Whatever, our mission is to help you get the most out of what’s in your wardrobe by showcasing timeless looks and key pieces that you can work into your existing collection giving it a whole new spin.
Fresh Florals
OK so florals are always a spring/summer classic because they accurately represent the season with their hopeful blooming beauty. However, florals have been given an update for Spring 22. Delicate flower prints are here but don’t expect them on floaty skirts or dresses but top-to-toe in sweatshirts and matching joggers instead. And go for bold in 1970’s style – ditsy prints have been replaced by interiors inspired blooms so think curtains a la Von Trapp kids playwear!
Find Fresh Florals at Restoration Yard: Selected Femme, Part Two, Pom Amsterdam and blank are the brands that seriously tick those Fresh Florals shop them in-store and online.
Summer Stripes
A jaunty stripe, whether sailor, deckchair or Breton always sings ‘summer is here’ and what’s more stripes guarantee chic polish to any look. If you don’t have a nautical little T-shirt or sweater in your collection it’s time to add one. This classic will work super-well with this season’s looser denims. Spring 22 has also injected a jolt of colour into the classic stripe so ring in the change and choose sunny shades of yellow with white stripes or combinations of striped Refreshers (yes those sweets) colours.

New Boho
Fashion loves a little touch of nostalgia. Remember that boho look from the noughties (which was actually referencing the 1970’s)? Well it is back. Take Sienna Miller in her luxe boho style from Glastonbury 2006 as your muse. Belt in your printed dresses, embrace the peasant top teamed with denim (skirts or wide-legged jeans) and choose boots for now until it warms up. Once summer hits you’ll be dusting off those wooden soled clogs.
Find New Boho at Restoration Yard: Part Two has nailed this look with its tiered frill dresses and billowing sleeved blouses. Pom Amsterdam also gets the floaty feminine spot on in The Store at Restoration Yard.
Animal Print
Some people love it. Some people hate it. However, leopard print is our happy place. It has shed its bad reputation in recent years and become a stylish go-to for every occasion. Wear it head-to-toe in a flippy above-the-knee dress or layer it in blouse form under a knit for a more subtle take on it. Whichever, this wild animal print is a hot Spring 22 trend that has the legs to last longer than one season.
Find Animal Print at Restoration Yard: Part Two, My Essential Wardrobe, Selected Femme, Ichi and Karen by Simonsen all work animal in the classic format while Pom Amsterdam plays with it in bright colours.
Feminine Frills
Get your frills on for Spring 22 because it is all in the detail. Little flounces of fabric on collars and cuffs create the feminine flourish of the moment. The ladylike dressing scene of last season continues and it shows no sign of abating. We want to dress with a nod to ladylike but we want to do it in power play kind of a way. So team your frills with leather jackets or biker boots to make it clear this look is not for messing with.
Find Feminine Frills at Restoration Yard: Selected Femme‘s collection features this favourite of details most strongly while Part Two and Karen by Simonsen nod to it too.
