Say Hello to The Tiny Big Sister at Restoration Yard
This week, we’re chatting to Jacqui about one of the exciting new brands coming to The Store at Restoration Yard for autumn/winter: Tiny Big Sister. Based in Barcelona, the brand’s distinctive prints and designs are created in-house. Founded in 2012 by husband-and-wife team Tinycottons, the brand began as a children’s label before expanding into womenswear for the adults who wanted to inhabit that same creative world themselves.
Now, in 2026, Tinycottons has broadened its collection to include women, babies and even pets. So, who better than Jacqui to tell you a ‘tiny’ bit more about the fabulous women’s collection you can shop at Restoration Yard, both online and in store:
Why did you choose The Tiny Big Sister for The Store at Restoration Yard?
I was immediately drawn to Tiny Big Sister because it’s so unique, playful and full of colour. There’s a real sense of fun and youthfulness running through the collections, which I love. It feels different from a lot of what you see on the high street and has a really distinctive personality, while still being easy to wear every day.
For you, what are the standout pieces from the collection?
The check jacket is definitely one of my favourites. It’s a really easy piece to throw on but still has that distinctive Tiny Big Sister feel. I also love the stripe knit. It’s one of those pieces that adds a bit of fun to an everyday outfit while still being really wearable. Both are great examples of what I love about the brand: classic wardrobe staples, but with a little more personality.

Who would you say this brand is perfect for?
I think it’s perfect for anyone looking for playful everyday dressing. You don’t have to be someone who normally wears lots of colour or bold prints, you can start with one piece and build it into your existing wardrobe. It’s for anyone who wants their clothes to feel a little bit more fun and individual.
What makes The Tiny Big Sister different from other brands Restoration Yard carries?
It has that element of surprise that makes you look twice. There’s always something unexpected about the pieces, whether that’s a particular print, a detail on a collar or an interesting finish.
Is there anything customers might not realise about the collection?
I think one of the lovely things about Tiny Big Sister is that the collections have their own storytelling worlds behind them. The current AW26 collection, for example, takes inspiration from the Cotswolds and translates British countryside references into the collection through heritage checks, wool coats, rich greens and browns, and those lovely poetic collars and bows.
So while the pieces are playful and colourful, there’s also a thoughtful story behind the designs.
How does The Tiny Big Sister fit within the Restoration Yard style and vision?
It feels like a particularly natural fit for Restoration Yard because both are built around the idea of bringing joy, personality and thoughtful design into everyday life. We’re always looking for brands that feel a little different and have a strong sense of identity, and Tiny Big Sister definitely does that. It’s colourful, creative and full of character, which makes it right at home in The Store.
