This is where you'll find the latest updates on the pandemic as it evolves and we react to new Government guidance. The safety of our customers and colleagues is our first priority. Thank you for your support.

Current Midlothian Protection Level is 3

Protection Level for Midlothian: Dalkeith Country Park is currently in Level 3. Please do not travel to the Midlothian council area if you live out with it unless you have a reasonable excuse.  Please be aware of local restrictions - you can check your postcode here

The latest restrictions may mean you can no longer attend an event or booking. Please let us know if you need to cancel your booking in The Kitchen. You can do this via our booking app ResDiary or by emailing If you are booked on one of our Christmas workshops, we can either offer you this via Zoom at the same date and time (with delivery of the materials) or you can email for a refund. If you're booked in for Fort Douglas, Santa's Grotto or Spectacle of Light, you'll find further guidance for each event here. This is a fast moving situation which is likely to change again so please don't get in touch yet if your booking is a few weeks away. Please bear with us if getting in touch as we’re currently receiving a high volume of enquiries. Thank you for your understanding.
