OK so florals are always a spring/summer classic because they accurately represent the season with their hopeful blooming beauty. However, florals have been given an update for Spring 22. Delicate flower prints are here but don't expect them on floaty skirts or dresses but top-to-toe in sweatshirts and matching joggers instead. And go for bold in 1970's style - ditsy prints have been replaced by interiors inspired blooms so think curtains a la Von Trapp kids playwear!
Find Fresh Florals at Restoration Yard: Selected Femme, Part Two, Pom Amsterdam and Bl^nk are the brands that seriously tick those Fresh Florals shop them in-store and online.
A jaunty stripe, whether sailor, deckchair or Breton always sings 'summer is here' and what's more stripes guarantee chic polish to any look. If you don't have a nautical little T-shirt or sweater in your collection it's time to add one. This classic will work super-well with this season's looser denims. Spring 22 has also injected a jolt of colour into the classic stripe so ring in the change and choose sunny shades of yellow with white stripes or combinations of striped Refreshers (yes those sweets) colours.

Fashion loves a little touch of nostalgia. Remember that boho look from the noughties (which was actually referencing the 1970's)? Well it is back. Take Sienna Miller in her luxe boho style from Glastonbury 2006 as your muse. Belt in your printed dresses, embrace the peasant top teamed with denim (skirts or wide-legged jeans) and choose boots for now until it warms up. Once summer hits you'll be dusting off those wooden soled clogs.
Find New Boho at Restoration Yard: Part Two has nailed this look with its tiered frill dresses and billowing sleeved blouses. Pom Amsterdam also gets the floaty feminine spot on in The Store at Restoration Yard.
Some people love it. Some people hate it. However, leopard print is our happy place. It has shed its bad reputation in recent years and become a stylish go-to for every occasion. Wear it head-to-toe in a flippy above-the-knee dress or layer it in blouse form under a knit for a more subtle take on it. Whichever, this wild animal print is a hot Spring 22 trend that has the legs to last longer than one season.
Find Animal Print at Restoration Yard: Part Two, My Essential Wardrobe, Selected Femme, Ichi and Karen by Simonsen all work animal in the classic format while Pom Amsterdam plays with it in bright colours.
Get your frills on for Spring 22 because it is all in the detail. Little flounces of fabric on collars and cuffs create the feminine flourish of the moment. The ladylike dressing scene of last season continues and it shows no sign of abating. We want to dress with a nod to ladylike but we want to do it in power play kind of a way. So team your frills with leather jackets or biker boots to make it clear this look is not for messing with.
Find Feminine Frills at Restoration Yard: Selected Femme's collection features this favourite of details most strongly while Part Two and Karen by Simonsen nod to it too.
From windowpane checks on shirt-coats and Parisian chic jackets to gingham galore, checks are everywhere for Spring 22. Theses jaunty squares bring to mind summer picnics with strawberries and Pimms whatever the weather. Checked jackets and shirts are perfect to pair with this Spring 22's loose denim jeans.
Find Preppy Checks at Restoration Yard: Part Two, MosMosh and Selected Femme all delved into this preppy trend
This season sees jeans continue to shift to looser cuts away from skinnies. There is also a move towards cropped legs and high-waisted styles too. All very forgiving and most comfortable - hurrah. The denim shirt dress is always a winner. Try it with a very on-trend frilled wide collar for a new take on this year-round happy classic. Also, denim jackets are still a winner for layering over summer's favourite printed dresses and floaty skirts. Pick yours in a classic cut from My Essential Wardrobe or try something a little different in the form of Pom Amsterdam's short shacket.
Find Denim Reworked at Restoration Yard: Check out Selected Femme and Part Two jeans for looser cuts and easy-to-wear denim dresses.
OK so we dream of a warm spring and summer but we all know that the weather doesn't always play ball. That makes a lightweight outerwear option a totes must. The quilted coat became a must-have in autumn 21 and now its reign continues into spring but in softer more spring-like shades. We love the sleeveless version for keeping just the right temperature in those mixed up four-seasons-in-day days that comes with March onwards.
Find Quilty Love at Restoration Yard: Satisfy your quilty love (we know it's bad) in the collections of Selected Femme and Part Two.
