Scottish Food & Drink Fortnight

It's Scottish Food & Drink Fortnight! We love this annual opportunity to shine a light on our incredible Scottish suppliers here at Restoration Yard. From The Foodhall to The Kitchen, this year we're focusing on all things local food and drink. With it being VisitScotland’s Year of Stories we want to introduce you to a handful of our incredible suppliers and the stories behind their delicious foodie (and drinkie!) fayre.

Edinburgh Honey Co.

Andy and Marta are the proud founders of Edinburgh Honey Co. and have been keeping bees in Scotland since 2017. Their incredible range of honey - which some of you may have tried from The Foodhall at Restoration Yard - is all jarred, packed and shipped by hand using recycled materials and of course, only the best honey untouched by additives, syrups or preservatives. Edinburgh Honey Co. bees can be found flying in North Berwick, The Falkland Estate and at Gleneagles producing heather, blossom and rapeseed honey. Come and visit us in-store this weekend and pick up some of these little jars of deliciousness, or get yours online.

Fife Creamery

Since 1957, Fife Creamery has led the way in delivering food and food products across Scotland. The Kitchen at Restoration Yard is proud to have all of the dairy products provided by Fife Creamery. From butter and milk, to eggs and cream, many of The Kitchen's delicious dishes have an element of local dairy goodness. Book your table now and come and indulge in an afternoon of foodie fayre.

The Secret Garden Distillery

We are more than certain that many of you will have come across or sipped on the spectacular products from The Secret Garden Distillery. In 2012, Hamish & his wife Liberty bought a derelict plot of land outside Edinburgh, and in just a short time they have developed the most astonishing Secret Herb Garden. Nature is Hamish’s passion and the Distillery’s Secret Garden is home to over 600 varieties of plants. In order to share his passion and demonstrate the magic of nature, Hamish developed a range of gins to showcase the wonderful natural flavours that can be created from the Garden and their two copper stills – Violet and May. Shop our delightful selection of The Secret Garden Distillery Gin's at The Foodhall online, or come and visit us in-store and let our wonderful team help you choose your next tipple.

"The future of the earth and the beauty it beholds is at the forefront of everything we create, it is why we began our journey and why we do what we do, so we can showcase the true magic of nature."

- Hamish Martin, Founding Director

East Coast Cured

Husband and wife team, Steven & Susie Anderson, grew up together in 90s Edinburgh. 20 years, a wedding and two children later they are running an award-winning charcuterie company in Leith. In 2017 they launched East Coast Cured, a family charcuterie company specialising in the production of dry-cured Scottish meats. East Coast Cured celebrates the very best of Scottish produce, sourcing meats directly from local farms, to create a range of outstanding Scottish charcuterie. Come and choose the perfect selection of East Coast Cured meats in The Foodhall for your weekend charcuterie board.

The Campbells story started over 100 years ago when a young Thomas Campbell took up his craft as a butcher in 1910. Over a century later, and his legacy still lives on in the Campbells name. It’s his passion for Scottish produce that has been passed on from father to son and brother to brother.

"While we have grown as a business, our dedication to quality, freshness and craftmanship is still what gets us up in the morning"

Campbells bring more than just great quality, fresh ingredients to The Kitchen at Restoration Yard - they also bring four generations of knowledge and passion. Book your table now and come and enjoy the produce of Campbells - masters of taste.
