Say Hello to Spring 21 at Restoration Yard
So Spring 21 is here and so are all our new collections. To celebrate we asked style blogger Sarah Thomson Style to try out our new spring womenswear collections in The Store at Restoration Yard and pull together some of the key looks for the new season. The result, thanks to the fabulous photography of First Light Photography, is inspiring. Feel like updating your look just as lockdown eases? Enjoy.
Full Volume & Bright Equals Total Delight
Ticking off two trends in one this Selected Femme Flissy Wrap Dress, £105.00, is a total showstopper. Puffed sleeves give it this season's silhouette. Also, Spring 21's yellow is colour that just makes people smile. Just add blooms.
Well what can we say? The last 12 months have tested us all so thank you fashion for sprinkling hope this season through an injection of colour. The pinks we saw across the collections were the pops of brightness we all need to lift us out of lockdown. We heart this Pom Amsterdam Strawberry Dress, £145.00, just because it makes us happy.
We are always all about prints in The Store at Restoration Yard. This season is a riot of full colour prints. From abstract to nature inspired, dresses, tops and skirts are adorned in beautiful patterns to lift us all. Take it full length in our Pom Amsterdam Delicious Mess Print Dress, £175.00, and our 1970s inspired Vilagallo Myrna Floral Dress, £169.00.
You don't need to drop your skinnies but for Spring 21 denim has loosened up. Enjoy the freedom of looser fits. Embrace the nostalgic nod to 1970's styles in wide-legged denims and A-line skirts. And above all try out this season's must-have - the denim jumpsuit.
Upping the sweatpant ante is Spring 21's Sport Luxe rework. OK, so yes it is about posh joggers, sweatshirts and tees. But these ones are not to be hidden from Zoom meet-ups. This is loungewear to be out and proud off. No need to change out of them for that trip out into the world. Instead, just add heels and a slash of lipstick. Live the dream in this pairing - Vilagallo Saint Barthe Top, £55.00, and Saint Barthe Trousers, £95.00.
Laidback, Low-key Yet Luxurious
After a year of living rather comfortably in our easy lockdown loungewear, the fashion world has acknowledged comfort is still king but that we want to step up the style factor. Enter the new laidback luxe look for Spring 21. Soft cottons and luxury linens in muted tones is the way forward for that dressed up but dressed down vibe.
A fashion favourite, black and white combined is always sharp and stylish. This spring though we say inject it with a bolt of neon. This Pom Amsterdam Very Berry Dress, £145.00, showcases this rather perfectly - its chic graphic black and white print is given a further boost by its neon yellow belt. Gorgeous.
Fashion loves a little bit of ladylike dressing and celebrating femininity but this time it's with a twist. We heart our new Karen By Simonsen collection's flirty working of the trend and Selected Femme's silky print. Just to emphasize the power of female, mix ladylike looks up. A flirty floaty skirt can be dressed down with a tee and silky dress works best with boots.
For now enjoy our new Spring 21 collections in our online store. The Store at Restoration Yard opens its doors fully on 26th April. Hurrah. Want to know what's happening at Restoration Yard first? Sign up to our newsletters HERE.
