The ultimate night in hamper by Tartanspoon

We asked the foodie genius that is Tartanspoon to create her ultimate cosy Christmas night in hamper from The Hamporium, and she did not dissapoint! Cheese, wine, chocolate and of course festive favourites all feature in this hamperfection.

Adele Conn - Tartanspoon - Food Connoisseur

Restoration Yard asked me to come in and create my very own Ultimate Food Hamper. How could I say no as such a joyous activity?! Looking around The Store, I started to think about what my ultimate Christmas night in would look like. And it goes something like this…

Picture this…. sofa, blanket, cosy fleece pyjamas, Christmas tree lights twinkling in the background, ideally The Holiday on Netflix and me and Mr TS tucking into some of our favourite food and drink. (To be fair, Mr TS wouldn’t be caught dead watching The Holiday!)

Our favourite thing is a cheese and meat platter with a good bottle of red wine. Perhaps followed by a cup of Hot Chocolate and a wee mince pie. And this is exactly what’s in the TartanSpoon Cosy Christmas Night In Hamper.

What's in the hamper?

I tried to pick as many local or Scottish producers as I could. So whats in the hamper Adele?…

The finished hamper

My Cosy Christmas Night In Hamper costs £85 and you can either request the exact same from The Hamporium or pick and mix as you would like. For me there is no better Christmas pressie (okay except for diamonds) than food and drink. It’s the gift that keeps on giving while it lasts!

If you fancy heading in store to select and choose your hamper, Dalkeith Country Park, Restoration Yard is approx 30 minutes drive from Edinburgh City Centre. There is plenty of parking, loads of shopping, a fabulous cafe and The Kitchen, a superb restaurant. Plus a great park to wander around. The grounds and the courtyard outside The Store are dog friendly and there are several small cabins selling hot drinks and treats in the courtyard too.
